What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a science that attributes its healing
powers to the principle that like heals like or "similia
similibus" as Dr Samuel Hahanemann the Founder of
Homeopathy would describe its mode in curing the disease
in man or beast.
The idea is to give the patient a medicine in minute quantity (potentized ), which would cause the same Symptoms of disease in a healthy patient, if repeated dosing were to be administered to the patient (this is called a proving).
The idea is to not get rid of one symptom i.e. an ear infection or a sore back with a medication that targets only that organ or specific part of the animal because if they have one big symptom that is real noticeable to the caregiver the doctor may notice the other signs of his chronic disease such as mild eye discharge or flaky skin or red gums and all the signs of disease will lead the medical practitioner to the correct medicine.
I recommend that my client that are not seeing a homeopath for there own general health that they become more informed on the subject but doing some reading. Currently I am recommending a short book entitled Beyond Flat Earth Medicine by Dr Timothy Dooley.
This will be a good place to get more familiar with the science of homeopathy. Our Homeopathic Practice is different from the usual veterinary services in that it is more time intensive. Rather then emphasizing charges for medicines, vaccinations and surgery- we charge for actual time spent on a case. This seems to be the fairest method for both our clients and us.
What We Represent

We feel that you have a right to choose what is best for
you companion and the best way to make choices is to be
well informed.
Continually medicating our pets every day or every few months will alleviate the symptoms for a short period of time only to return when the medication is discontinued. This is well known as the quick fix. With holistic medicine the aim is to gently restore the health of your pet gently with out disrupting natural homeostasis.
